Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Organizers must be authorized to represent the organization they register. By using VoteNest, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and truthful.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

VoteNest supports three roles: Voters cast votes in campaigns; Organizers create and manage campaigns and are subject to approval by a Super Admin; and Super Admins oversee the platform. Organizers are responsible for the campaigns they publish, including the nominees and content they add.

Organizers may create voting campaigns, set voting windows, add categories and nominees, and choose free or paid voting. Organizers grant VoteNest a license to display campaign content (including names, images, and biographies) for the purpose of operating the campaign. Organizers confirm they hold the rights to all content they upload.

Votes are recorded as submitted and may not be reversed except in cases of confirmed fraud or payment failure. Free voting may be limited per campaign. Paid votes are credited only after successful payment confirmation. We reserve the right to void votes that are fraudulent, automated, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.

Where paid voting is enabled, payments are processed by our payment provider, Paystack. VoteNest does not store full card details. All amounts are charged in the currency stated on the campaign page. Refunds are issued at our discretion where a payment fails or is duplicated; votes credited in error may be reversed.

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated means to cast or manipulate votes;
• Submit false, misleading, or infringing content;
• Attempt to access another user's data or account;
• Disrupt or interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
• Use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.

We may monitor campaigns and voting activity to detect fraud and abuse. Super Admins and Organizers have access to monitoring and reporting tools for this purpose. We may remove content or cancel campaigns that violate these Terms.

VoteNest and its branding, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Content you upload remains yours, subject to the license above.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that results will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any campaign will achieve a specific outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoteNest shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any loss related to campaign results or payment disputes.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of these Terms or to protect the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
